ABSTRACT
Abstract
Throughout history, libraries were primarily established as expansive repositories for storing knowledge and providing education. As the world has evolved from ancient times, however, libraries have expanded far beyond their original purpose to accommodate diverse needs and patterns of use. Today, they are not only custodians of centuries of history and collective memory but also vibrant community centers that foster creativity, curiosity, and social bonds across generations. To accommodate—indeed, to celebrate—this evolution, our team developed several concepts through the Futuristic Library project. The aim is to create a library designed for the society of tomorrow. The project seeks to unite the rapid growth of technological innovation with nature-inspired design in order to provide comfort, inclusivity, and accessibility within an environment that acknowledges fundamental human needs. The Futuristic Library demonstrates how technology and nature can converge to create a modern, interactive, and welcoming cultural space that redefines the role of libraries in the 21st century.
